Mission objectives: 3rd human Moon landing. Mission deemed a "successful failure" after an oxygen tank aboard the Command Module exploded which forced NASA to abort any landing attempt and cut the mission short. Through the ingenuity, dedication and heroic efforts of all concerned, the crew returned to earth safely.
