Mercury-Redstone 4 Souvenir Mission Patch

On July 21, 1961 astronaut Gus Grissom repeated the previous Mercury flight. Unfortunately the Liberty Bell 7 spacecraft sunk after splashdown but the rest of the flight was a success. The capsule was recovered from the ocean in July 1999. NOTE: This patch was designed long after the mission flew and was never approved by the astronauts. It is presented only as a souvenir of the mission.
