6 telecommunications satellites were successfully launched and placed into orbit on July 14, 2014 by SpaceX. Satellites built by Sierra Nevada Corp. This mission completes the first part of a planned 17 satellite constellation which will provide Sierra Nevada Corp and its customers with more robust data systems
